Everybody loves to complain about their job. Even dentists.
I know that the economy is much tougher for dentists than in the past, but despite the challenges (and there are many), dentistry is still a great profession.
Here are three reasons why:
1) Autonomy
Dentists can own their own practices, control their lives, work the hours they want, make an excellent living and take care of their families. This all goes to the heart of quality of life.
2) The Economy is Improving
Practices are beginning to bounce back and perform better. After the 2008 recession, there was a giant slowdown that affected the majority of offices. Today, more dentists are increasing their production, which makes practicing easier and more fun.
3) The Ability to Help People Every Day
Dentists get to make a difference in their patients’ lives. Not many professions can say that.
