Advice for the Endodontist: Explain that implants take less time than before. When implants were first widely publicized, it could take 6–9 months to complete treatment. Some patients believe that’s still the case, and it works against acceptance… so, if you recommend an implant, be sure to explain that, for a majority of patients, the process won’t take as long as they might think.
