Learn how to distract patients with small talk. Many patients become fearful or anxious about seeing the dentist. Be prepared to talk about anything but treatment, keeping patients’ minds off what’s worrying them. Everyone enjoys such personal interactions, and your patients will really appreciate the distraction.
