Advice for the Treatment Coordinator – Give parents an extra opportunity to say “yes.” For example, many parents will want to check with spouses before agreeing to treatment for their child. Instead of putting all the responsibility on one parent, offer to call the home one evening and speak to both parents to review the treatment recommendations. Most parents appreciate such follow-up.
