Give credit for good ideas. We all like to get credit for our suggestions and we don’t like it when people take credit for others’ thinking. Note the ideas expressed by other team members. If you talk about someone else’s idea, always be sure to mention the originator’s name. Get in the habit of giving credit, and you are much more likely to get credit when you’re the one who comes up with a good idea.
Dr. Roger Levin’s Reference Set, Practice Growth through Interpersonal Relations is full of great ideas. For details, click here.
