Share credit. We all like to be recognized for good ideas, and we all dislike people who take credit for others’ thinking. Keep track of the ideas and suggestions expressed by teammates. If you end up promoting someone else’s idea, always be sure to mention the originator’s name when you talk about it. Get in the habit of giving credit, and you are much more likely to get credit when you’re the one who comes up with a good idea.
