Initiate training with scripts. The best way to learn scripting is to practice using it… beginning with role-playing. In special or monthly staff meetings, some team members play the role of patients so their colleagues can learn how to use the scripting in realistic interactions. There are two training objectives—to learn the key points that must be made, and to become proficient at performing the script in one’s own words.
