Advice to the Front Desk Staff – Emphasize the 48-hour rule. During checkout, highlight the area on the appointment card that says 48-hours’ notice is required to cancel an appointment. By doing this, you are emphasizing that the practice requires advance notice for scheduling changes. Most of the parents of your patients will respond accordingly.
