Make parents and patients feel like they are part of your oral healthcare team. Use “we” instead of “I” during parent and patient interactions. Treat parents and patients as the center of everyone’s attention while they are in your practice. Even team members who aren’t working directly with certain parents and patients should still acknowledge them warmly.
