For Practice Owners – Valuation Factor: Number of Patients. Most doctors believe that a greater number of patients indicates better practice health, no matter how much dentistry remains to be done with those patients. However, you should avoid counting inactive patients (those who haven’t been seen for 18 months or more). This will raise a red flag when practice valuation takes place.
