Reduce no-shows and last-minute cancellations. Confirm appointments 48 hours in advance by phone, email or text (with permission). The staff member contacting the parent should be trained to effectively counter any objections and reinforce the value of keeping the appointment. During the patient’s check-up, the entire team should create value for the next hygiene visit.
