Scripting Advice – Start by identifying the goal of the script. Is it communication, education, case acceptance or cooperation? With the goal in mind, write an opening sentence that describes what you’re about to discuss. For example, “Mrs. Brown, we need to talk about some treatment options for your daughter’s cracked tooth.” This will set the framework, making it easier for the patient to prepare mentally for the conversation.
