Create value for appointments… and confirm them. Emphasize to patients that valuable time with the doctor has been reserved especially for them. Confirm all appointments 48 hours in advance… placing calls to cell phones (which are more likely to get a response), sending emails or text messaging. These techniques will greatly reduce no-shows and last-minute cancellations.
