Connect with parents and patients personally. Increase parent loyalty and trust in your practice with these simple interpersonal techniques:
- Always greet parents and patients with a smile and handshake
- Make eye contact
- Use friendly body language—lean forward, don’t cross arms
- Learn personal facts about the parent and use them in conversation
- Be sure to listen to whatever parents have to say, and don’t interrupt
