Shake hands. One great way to greet a patient when they come into your office is to stand up and shake hands. When you stand up you’re saying to the patient, “I like you and I’m glad to see you.” You’re also saying, “I like you and I am a professional.” These two powerful subliminal messages to patients go a long way to building patient confidence and long-term relationships.
