Are you turning off parents? Some practices are very busy and not able to work patients in for weeks or even months. If you are in this situation, you may be surprised that your front desk staff is unintentionally alienating parents by telling them that they cannot schedule anyone for seven weeks. Create scripting that explains why there is a delay, how the practice is a little busier than usual, and that you are really looking forward to seeing them. You might even mention that you’ll reach out if anything opens sooner.
