Parents who appreciate the value of appointments are far less likely to allow their children to miss them. Extolling the benefits of check appointments should begin the moment a new patient makes initial contact with the office. Creating value should take place at the front desk, in the treatment area and any time patients (and parents) are interacting with staff members or the orthodontist.
