Performance Target: Generate one referral a year from 40–60% of parents and adult patients. Satisfied parents and patients will usually be happy to recommend your ortho practice to family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors and others, if they know you welcome referrals. Put up signs where patients can see them, saying “We welcome referrals.” Come up with a variety of referral strategies—educational, fun or social media ideas—that can be run simultaneously and consistently throughout the year.
