Improve efficiency with a hygiene assistant. To increase hygiene production, consider adding a hygiene assistant. This will require the use of two dedicated treatment rooms so the hygienist can move back and forth, performing only hygienist-mandated procedures. The hygiene assistant handles all records, radiographs and post-hygiene treatment such as fluoride. By adding a hygiene assistant, the practice can see more hygiene patients and increase production.
