Set a production goal. Every orthodontic practice should have an annual production goal. We recommend that it be at least 18% over the last 12 months for three cycles. This is due to our ongoing data and observation that most orthodontic practices underperform regarding efficiency and have the opportunity to grow by 30 to 50% over about three or four years. Keep in mind that one of the main reasons to focus on growth is not only higher revenue in income, but also the simple reality the growth is the enemy of decline.
