Hold a morning meeting. Morning meetings are an essential factor in orthodontic practice success. Certainly, there are practices that are successful without them, but there are many more that are successful with them. A 10-minute meeting in the morning with agenda items such as reviewing the daily goal, reviewing the schedule in general, and noting opportunities such as patients coming in that day that are overdue for debonds or collections will help the practice get off to an excellent start. Another goal of the morning meeting should be to reduce the number of back-and-forth questions and answers throughout the day, if they can be addressed during the meeting. Having the entire team on the same page will immediately improve orthodontic practice efficiency.
