Increase adult patients. The number of adults receiving orthodontic treatment due to aligners will grow. Practices that ignore the adult market, or have no marketing strategies focused on adults, and have treatment coordinators that haven’t developed new scripting for adults may lose out. As the adult market grows we recommend that every orthodontic practice find a way to take advantage of this opportunity. Be sure to measure the number of adult patients and the different age groups being treated monthly. Most orthodontic practices don’t really know the number of patients by age group and therefore do not recognize opportunities or weaknesses that can be corrected.
