Be careful not to commit fraud. Patients sometimes make requests that may represent fraud. The patient might know it is wrong, but they may ask the practice to put a different date on an insurance filing, not be charged the full co-pay despite the fact that it is not allowed by the insurance contract etc. Practices want to help their patients and be compassionate about their circumstances; however, some patient requests are still representative of committing fraud. If you know it is fraud, don’t do it.
