Don’t give up on referring doctors. We know there is a great deal of discussion about referring doctors either doing all the ortho themselves or not being worth the time, effort and focus. However, we have data showing that many orthodontic practices with excellent production are receiving as high as 40% or more of their referrals from referring offices. In addition, patients and parents often ask referring doctors for their opinion about the office that they have heard about or that their friend or neighbor goes to. Building powerful relationships with referring doctors was always smart and continues to be.
