Tell patients or parents when it’s free. Although the orthodontic patient typically has a fixed contract there are times where they need extra visits.  An example would be an emergency appointment. It is a good idea to let patients and parents know that there will be no additional charge for this visit because they have a contract with the orthodontic practice. Although they did not expect to have an additional charge, it is always appreciated when someone mentions that their visit has no additional costs.
