Get out of your rut. People are creatures of habit and doctors and team members are no different. We develop habits that carry us through each day, but at times it can also hold us back. One way to break old habits is to do one thing differently each day. Instead of getting your usual drink at the coffee shop, order something else. Look at the key financial performance numbers of the practice on Wednesday instead of a Saturday. Go out of your way to be nice to a patient that annoys you. Make an extra call or text to the patient you know will be late to remind them about their appointment. If you want to change your life, you must gradually change your habits.
