Set a daily production goal. Each day orthodontic practices should have a daily production goal. It is usually measured in revenue against new cases; however, regardless of the measurement having a goal every day that can be measured and acted upon will lead to innovative and creative ideas to ensure the practice is hitting the goal. Reviewing the daily goal at every morning meeting and assessing whether the practice is ahead, on target, or behind for the goal that day will keep everyone informed and lead to better ideas such as evening out the number of new patients per day rather than stacking them up on certain days or determining that the practice is operating below the targeted new patient level.
