The end of day report. Every day the dentist should be handed an “end of day” report that takes less than 60 seconds to read. It should be short and focused on no more than 5 or 6 daily metrics: production, collections, new patients scheduled today, doctor production per hour, other provider production per hour, and customer service issues. Looking at these numbers every day will provide good insight about practice performance and give you the chance to make quicky corrective action when necessary.
